Who these terms are between

These terms apply between Practeca, operating from Cairo, Egypt, and the clinic that holds the account. The person who creates the account confirms they are authorised to accept these terms on the clinic’s behalf.

What Practeca is

Practeca is clinic management software: scheduling, patient records, prescriptions, invoicing, reporting, and patient messaging. It is a tool used by clinical staff.

What Practeca is not

Practeca does not practise medicine and does not make clinical decisions. Features that surface alerts, flag values outside an expected range, or calculate dates from information entered by the clinic are aids to a clinician’s judgement, not a substitute for it. Every clinical decision, and responsibility for it, remains with the treating clinician.

Practeca is not a diagnostic device and is not certified as a medical device. Clinics remain responsible for their own regulatory and professional obligations, including those of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate.

Your responsibilities

• Keep account credentials secure, and remove staff access promptly when someone leaves.
• Have a lawful basis for the patient data you enter, and obtain patient consent where the law requires it. Health data is sensitive personal data under Egyptian Law No. 151 of 2020.
• Give each staff member the role that matches their job, and no more.
• Use the service for your own clinic. Do not resell it, share one account across unrelated practices, or attempt to reach another clinic’s data.
• Check anything the software produces before acting on it — a prescription, an invoice, a message to a patient.

Who owns the data

Your clinic’s data belongs to your clinic. We store and process it to run the service, and for no other purpose. You can request a full export at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how data is handled, hosted and retained.

Plans, billing and trials

• Subscriptions are priced per clinic, per month, in Egyptian Pounds, with unlimited staff accounts. There is no per-user or per-patient charge.
• New clinics start with a 30-day free trial.
• After the trial, an account that has not been activated enters a short grace period and then loses access until a plan is arranged. Data is not deleted when access lapses.
• Payment is arranged directly with our team. Confirming a plan inside the application records your request and starts that conversation — it does not take payment.
• Some capabilities are described as in development. Those are not available yet, are not part of what you are paying for today, and carry no delivery date.

Availability

We work to keep Practeca available and we monitor it continuously, but we do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and we would rather say so than publish a number we are not committed to. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside Egyptian clinic hours where possible.

Parts of the service depend on third parties — WhatsApp messaging, email delivery, hosting. An outage at one of those can affect Practeca even when Practeca itself is healthy.

Suspension

We may suspend an account for non-payment, or where use of the service puts patient data or other clinics at risk. Except where the law requires otherwise, we will tell you why, and your data remains available for export.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Practeca at any time — there is no minimum term and no exit fee. Ask us for your export before you go; we will provide it. We may end the agreement with reasonable notice, and in that case we will help you get your data out.

Liability

Practeca is provided as-is. To the extent Egyptian law allows, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the subscription fees paid for the clinic in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We are not liable for clinical outcomes. That responsibility sits with the treating clinician, as set out above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify active clinics by email before the change takes effect.
